F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole position after improving his time in the final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, besting Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying ahead of George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc leads ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to crack the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. Alongside him on the sixth row will be Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine for the Spanish Grand Prix, with Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant forming the back row. After the team decided to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
