F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outperformed him by clocking 1:11.383, a mere 0.02s faster, to snatch the pole for himself.
The second row will be fully occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying ahead of George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate, local hero Carlos Sainz, who will be on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the push into the top 10 and points-earning spots, with Valtteri Bottas from Sauber joining him in the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In the ninth row of all-RB, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to modify his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon fell back to the pit lane.
