Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen might have secured pole after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris produced a better performance by recording a 1:11.383 time, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton out-qualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc leads, followed by his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.
