F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen gained a few more tenths, making it seem as if he had secured pole position. However, Norris outpaced him with a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc of Ferrari will be ahead of his teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the application of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will join him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will form the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen in the Haas.
In the all-RB ninth row, Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially making up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
