F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after improving his final run by a few tenths. However, Norris outdid him by delivering a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, both from Mercedes, will make up the second row, with Hamilton outqualifying Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local hero, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. Valtteri Bottas of Sauber will be alongside him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will form the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams forming the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Following a team decision to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon has been relegated to the pit lane.
