F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, narrowly surpassing Verstappen by only 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
The second row will be completely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be leading his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz.
Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso round out the top 10 on the grid for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is poised to break into the top 10 and points-paying positions. He will spearhead this effort with Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate at Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu, who is in the second Sauber, and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row at the Spanish Grand Prix is entirely occupied by RB racers, with Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo. The last row will be formed by Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams. Albon had to pit due to a team decision to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
