F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen might have secured pole after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outdid him by clocking 1:11.383, a mere 0.02s faster, to claim the pole for himself.
The second row will be exclusively Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. In the third row, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez aims to break into the top 10 and secure points-paying positions. He will spearhead this effort, with Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They’re ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In row nine of the all-RB lineup, Yuki Tsunoda is in front of Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from the Williams team will essentially make up the last row in the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to switch his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
