F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole position after making slight improvements in his final run. However, Norris delivered a surprising 1:11.383 time, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and snatching the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc, ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz, will be on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez, after receiving a three-place grid penalty in Canada, is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. He will be accompanied by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate at Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In an all-RB ninth row, Yuki Tsunoda takes lead over Daniel Ricciardo, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant effectively making up the rear row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane when the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
