F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole position after improving slightly in his final run, but it was Norris who ultimately claimed it. Norris delivered a 1:11.383, narrowly besting Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to secure the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton will be joined by George Russell in an all-Mercedes second row, after outqualifying him for only the second time this season. On row three, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

After receiving a three-place grid penalty in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to crack the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will take the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, followed by Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant who will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after his team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
