F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen had secured the pole position after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris pulled off a 1:11.383, outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton has outqualified George Russell for the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Charles Leclerc leads the third row, ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz.
Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso round out the top 10 on the grid for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, who is Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will form the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, while Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon moved to the pit lane following the team’s decision to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
