F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed that Verstappen might have secured the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his last run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be in front of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and points-paying positions. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will form the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from the Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, while Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to switch his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon moved to the pit lane.
