F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen had secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered an impressive 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, and clinching the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for the second time this season, resulting in an all-Mercedes second row. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc outperformed his Ferrari team-mate and crowd favourite, Carlos Sainz, securing a place on the third row.
For the Spanish Grand Prix grid, the top 10 is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and points-paying positions, with Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll from Alonso’s Aston Martin team will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from the Haas team.
The ninth row is entirely occupied by RB, with Yuki Tsunoda in front of Daniel Ricciardo. Meanwhile, Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row at the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
