F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have pole position secured after gaining a few tenths in his final run, but Norris managed to snatch it away by clocking a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s.
The second row will be entirely comprised of Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and secure points-paying positions. Valtteri Bottas of Sauber will join him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin’s teammate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu, who is in the second Sauber, and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon moved to the pit lane as his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
