F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed like Verstappen might have secured pole position after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris managed to outperform him by a mere 0.02s with a 1:11.383, seizing the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton will be starting ahead of George Russell in an all-Mercedes second row, marking only the second time this season where he has outqualified Russell. The third row will feature Charles Leclerc in front of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points, despite his three-place grid penalty from Canada. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row is entirely filled with RB, with Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo. Meanwhile, Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was moved to the pit lane after his team decided to switch out his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
