F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
After Verstappen seemed to secure pole position with a couple more tenths in his final run, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be in front of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite Carlos Sainz on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty applied in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the push to penetrate the top 10 and score points. Alongside him on the sixth row will be Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll from Alonso’s Aston Martin team will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In row nine of the all-RB, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
