F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole after improving his final run by a few tenths. However, Norris delivered a time of 1:11.383, outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and snatching the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton has outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc has taken the lead over his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, for the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and positions that earn points, this comes after his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada. He will be accompanied by Valtteri Bottas from Sauber on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be in front of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams team will essentially form the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
