F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed like Verstappen had secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez aims to break into the top 10 and score points, despite his three-place grid penalty from Canada. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will join him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will constitute the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In row nine of the all-RB line-up, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo. Meanwhile, Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the last row at the Spanish Grand Prix. After his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was forced to drop to the pit lane.
