F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
On his final run, it seemed as if Verstappen had secured the pole position after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and snatching the pole for himself.
The second row will be exclusively Mercedes, as Lewis Hamilton has outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate Carlos Sainz, who is also the local favourite, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. Valtteri Bottas of Sauber will be joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the last row at the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon had to return to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
