F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might have secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outdid him by clocking 1:11.383, which was just 0.02s faster, thereby grabbing the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, resulting in an all-Mercedes second row. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the enforcement of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is expected to spearhead the push into the top 10 and points-earning ranks. Accompanying him on the sixth row will be Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will constitute the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams will essentially form the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to swap his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
