F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure pole position after improving his time in his final run, but Norris outdid him by delivering a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be leading his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be accompanied on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be in front of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Row nine is completely occupied by RB with Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo. Meanwhile, Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was forced to move to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
