F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
After gaining a few more tenths in his last lap, it appeared that Verstappen might have secured pole position. However, Norris posted a 1:11.383, edging out Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will make up an all-Mercedes second row, with Hamilton outqualifying Russell for only the second time this season. On row three, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is poised to break into the top 10 and secure points-paying positions. Valtteri Bottas from Sauber will be accompanying him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will take up row seven. They will be followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the back row in the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane following the team’s decision to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
