F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed like Verstappen had secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outperformed him by delivering a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and securing the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will make up an all-Mercedes second row, with Hamilton outqualifying Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be in front of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty incurred in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and score points, with Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, in front of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in row nine, an all-RB lineup, for the Spanish Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant are essentially forming the last row. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
