F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen appeared to have secured the pole position after improving his time in his final run, but Norris outperformed him by a mere 0.02s with a 1:11.383, snatching the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc has a lead over his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to crack the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. He will be joined on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll from Alonso’s Aston Martin will be in the seventh row, with Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas behind them.
In the ninth row, Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB lineup. Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row at the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision by the team to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
