Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might have secured pole position in his final run after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris managed to outperform Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, recording a 1:11.383, and thereby seizing the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc is leading ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, who will be on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.
