F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It initially appeared that Verstappen might secure pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a narrow margin of just 0.02s, to claim the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outpacing George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. He will be accompanied on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up row seven. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant forming the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
