F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure the pole after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris surpassed Verstappen by a mere 0.02s with a 1:11.383, claiming the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton will start from the second row, having outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, both from Mercedes. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local hero, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the application of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and score points. He will be accompanied by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin will make up the seventh row. They will be positioned ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
