F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outdid him by clocking a 1:11.383, just 0.02s faster, and consequently snatched the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, resulting in an all-Mercedes second row. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to crack the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be joining him in the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll from Aston Martin, Alonso’s teammate, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In the ninth row of all-RB, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially making up the rear row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon fell back to the pit lane.
