F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen might have secured the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his last run. However, Norris outperformed him by a slim margin of 0.02s with a 1:11.383, seizing the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, ensuring an all-Mercedes second row. Charles Leclerc outperformed his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz, securing them places on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid are completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. He will have Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas as his row six companion.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s Aston Martin team-mate, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads all-RB row nine, followed by Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After a team decision to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon fell back to the pit lane.
