F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen might secure pole after making some gains in his final run. However, Norris outperformed him by posting a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen’s time by a mere 0.02s and securing the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Ahead of them in the third row will be Charles Leclerc and his Ferrari team-mate, local favorite Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

After the application of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and point-earning positions. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, who is Alonso’s teammate at Aston Martin, will compose the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams forming the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Following a team decision to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
