F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed Verstappen might have secured pole position after gaining a few tenths in his final run. However, Norris surprised everyone by delivering a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, and winning the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will lead on the third row, ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty received in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the challenge to crack the top 10 and score points. He will be joined by Valtteri Bottas of Sauber on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant forming the back row at the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision by the team to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
