F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen might have secured pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris managed to outdo him by clocking a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to take the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. On row three, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and home favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The Spanish Grand Prix grid’s top 10 is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and score points. He will be joined on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant forming the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
