F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole position after picking up a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, and snatched the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outpacing George Russell for only the second time this season. The third row will feature Charles Leclerc ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the attempt to break into the top 10 and earn points. Perez will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu, who is in the second Sauber, and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine for the Spanish Grand Prix, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the back row. After a decision by the team to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
