F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
After his final run, it appeared that Verstappen may have secured the pole position, having found a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a time of 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, and claimed the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely comprised of Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be alongside him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially making up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to switch his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon moved down to the pit lane.
