F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
The second row will be exclusively Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

After receiving a three-place grid penalty in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. He will be accompanied by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will take up the seventh row. They will be followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine for the Spanish Grand Prix. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially form the back row. Albon was relegated to the pit lane when the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
