Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his last run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, which allowed him to seize the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row is fully occupied by RB drivers, with Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo.
