F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his last run, it seemed like Verstappen may have secured the pole after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris posted a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a narrow 0.02s and securing the pole position for himself.
The second row will be completely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton surpassing George Russell in qualifications for only the second time this season. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the application of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be alongside him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Following a decision by the team to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
