F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen might have secured the pole position after finding a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, and took the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying higher than George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and reach points-paying positions. He will be accompanied on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be in front of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo are in an all-RB row nine for the Spanish Grand Prix, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams forming the back row. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
