F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Following his final run, it appeared that Verstappen might have secured the pole position after shaving off a few more tenths of a second. However, Norris outperformed him by recording a 1:11.383, which was just 0.02s faster, thus claiming the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is spearheading the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. This comes after his three-place grid penalty applied in Canada. Valtteri Bottas of Sauber will be accompanying him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo form an all-RB row nine, ahead of Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant who will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision was made to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
