F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed likely to secure pole position after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, narrowly surpassing Verstappen by merely 0.02s, thereby claiming the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be leading, ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid are rounded out by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the application of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. Valtteri Bottas of Sauber will be alongside him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine. Meanwhile, Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was moved to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
