F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed like Verstappen might have secured the pole after improving by a few tenths in his final run, but Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to seize the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc, ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local hero Carlos Sainz, will be on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be accompanied by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll from Alonso’s Aston Martin team will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In the ninth row of the all-RB, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was moved to the pit lane when the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
