F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after improving his time in his final run, but Norris outdid him with a 1:11.383, besting Verstappen’s time by a mere 0.02s and grabbing the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the imposition of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and secure point-paying positions. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be with him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine. Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant are at the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to modify his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon had to move to the pit lane.
