F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths. However, Norris outperformed him with a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton will join George Russell in the all-Mercedes second row, having outqualified him for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso round out the top 10 on the grid for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and score points. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team chose to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was shifted to the pit lane.
