F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will occupy the second row in an all-Mercedes lineup, with Hamilton outqualifying Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local hero, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid includes Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be alongside him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll from Alonso’s Aston Martin team will be in the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo make up an all-RB ninth row, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially form the back row at the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was demoted to the pit lane after his team decided to switch his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
