F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It initially appeared that Verstappen might secure the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris managed to outperform him with a 1:11.383, a mere 0.02s faster, securing the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz, in the third row.
For the Spanish Grand Prix grid, the top 10 is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to make a push for the top 10 and positions that earn points. He will be joined on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas, who is also hoping to break into the higher ranks.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine. Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will form the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon returned to the pit lane because his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
