F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen had secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outperformed him by clocking in at 1:11.383, just 0.02s faster, thus snatching the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton beating George Russell in qualifying for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points positions, with Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The all-RB row nine features Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo, with Williams’ drivers Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant forming the rear for the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was demoted to the pit lane.
