F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after his final run, but it was Norris who took it, setting a time of 1:11.383 and outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be in front of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to crack the top 10 and secure points-paying positions. He will have Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas as his row six companion.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in a row nine entirely made up of RB racers. The final row for the Spanish Grand Prix will essentially be occupied by Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from the Williams team. After the team decided to modify his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
