F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
After gaining a few more tenths in his final run, it seemed Verstappen might secure the pole position. However, Norris outperformed him by just 0.02s with a 1:11.383 time, securing the pole position for himself.
The second row will feature only Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for the second time this season. On row three, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

After receiving a three-place grid penalty in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to break into the top 10 and earn points. Alongside him on row six will be Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas, as Perez leads the charge.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, in front of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda will lead Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, followed by Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams who will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
