Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.

In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured pole after gaining a few more tenths. However, Norris surpassed him with a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and snatching the pole for himself.

The second row will be entirely Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outpacing George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will lead the third row, ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.

The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.
