F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
After improving his timing in his last run, it seemed as though Verstappen had secured pole position. However, Norris delivered a time of 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, claiming the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will have Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas with him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s Aston Martin team-mate, will occupy the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Rewriting this: Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine, while the Williams team’s Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the rear row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after the team chose to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
