F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have the pole position secured after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and subsequently securing the pole position for himself.
The second row will be exclusively Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying ahead of George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local hero, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

After receiving a three-place grid penalty in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will form the seventh row, ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row for the Spanish Grand Prix, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant making up the back row. After a decision to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
